Eligibility Criteria For Chartered Industrial Engineering NZ

Chartered Assessment Process:-
To complete the chartered assessment for the first time, candidates are required to go through all six stages:
Stage 1: Eligibility – To meet the eligibility requirements, aspiring engineers must hold a Washington Accord-accredited qualification or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
Stage 2: Preparation – This process generally takes between four and six years to acquire enough experience to be ready to apply for CPEng. To meet the minimum registration standard, candidates must demonstrate they can practice competently in their practice area.
Stage 3: Apply online – candidates must complete the online application form. The assessor, Engineering NZ, will invite public feedback on individuals being assessed for CPEng registration.

KA02 Assessment By Engineering New Zealand
Candidates whose qualifications do not meet the Washington Accord standards must demonstrate equivalent knowledge. They must demonstrate that they have a level of technical knowledge and skills, gained through their work and learning, comparable to that required for a Washington Accord qualification. Such candidates need to demonstrate knowledge in eight areas, called elements. The elements include understanding of natural sciences, engineering fundamentals, specialist engineering, design process, mathematics, research-based, engineering in society, and engineering practice.
