Eligibility:

Credential check is the first step to recognised candidates’ eligibility as a chartered professional engineer. The assessor checks the qualifications and credentials against the international educational standard stated through the Washington Accord.

Preparation:

They need to learn and prepare for twelve elements grouped under four categories in order to apply for CPEng. They must find two referees who are well aware of their work and thus, support their chartered assessment.

Apply Online:

They need to choose the membership and registrations for which they want to be assessed, defining their practice area and choosing their practice field. Moreover, they must complete a self-assessment form, prepare a CPD statement, and provide work samples as evidence to demonstrate competence in their practice area.

Validation:

The next step is to submit the application for validation. One of the competence assessment advisors will check the information provided and give feedback within 10 working days.

Evaluation:
